Chemical plant dust collection should start with the powder name, process conditions, and possible chemical exposure. Final filter bag selection depends on dust type, gas chemistry, moisture, temperature, static risk, emission target, and collector design.

- Fine chemical powder or additives
- Acid or alkali gas exposure
- Moisture, oil, or solvent content
- Sticky dust that may cause bag blinding
- Static electricity risk in selected powder handling systems
- Material compatibility concerns
Recommended filter media options
- Polyester with suitable finish for selected normal-temperature dry dust
- Anti-static polyester where static risk should be reviewed
- Water and oil repellent finish where moisture or oil content affects dust release
- Acrylic for selected humid or medium-temperature conditions
- PPS where temperature and gas chemistry make it suitable
- PTFE or PTFE membrane where chemical resistance or surface filtration requires review
