Standard and Functional Filter Bags
Polyester Needle Felt Filter Bags
Application note:
Polyester needle felt is a common filter bag media for general dry industrial dust collection with moderate temperature and chemical conditions.
Best for:
- Cement and mineral dust
- General manufacturing dust
- Cost-sensitive replacement projects
Temperature reference:
Typical reference around 130°C continuous and 150°C short peak; actual performance depends on working conditions and finish.
Technical reference:
- Common weight / GSM
- 450-600 GSM depending on dust type, finish, and cleaning system.
- Thickness reference
- Typical needle felt thickness may vary by GSM and finish, commonly around 1.6-2.2 mm depending on construction.
- Air permeability
- Specified according to dust type, filtration velocity, cleaning method, and emission target.
- Cleaning system
- Pulse jet, reverse air, or shaker depending on bag construction and dust collector design.
- Emission target
- Emission performance depends on filter media, surface finish, dust collector design, sealing, air-to-cloth ratio, cleaning system, installation quality, and dust characteristics. PTFE membrane or fine surface treatment can be considered when lower emission requirements are needed.
- Service life factors
- Temperature peaks, moisture, acid/alkali gas, oxygen content, abrasion, cleaning pressure, filtration velocity, installation quality, and cage matching.
- Construction options
- Snap band, ring top, flange top, cuff top, disc bottom, reinforced bottom, and custom sewing details.
Main strengths:
- Common and economical media
- Good for many dry dust applications
- Flexible finish options
Common applications:
- Cement mills
- Mineral powder collection
- General factory dust collectors
Available finishes / options:
- Singeing
- Calendering
- Heat setting
- Water and oil repellent
- Anti-static treatment
- PTFE membrane
Notes before quotation:
- Confirm the base media first, then confirm finish after reviewing dust type, moisture, gas chemistry, and emission target.
- Actual temperature resistance depends on fiber, finish, gas chemistry, moisture, and operating conditions.
