Common Filter Cage Problems That Damage Filter Bags

Poor cage fit, corrosion, broken wires, and rough surfaces can shorten filter bag life.

Filter cages support the bag during pulse cleaning. When cages are damaged or mismatched, the bag can fail even if the media is correct.

Common problems include broken wires, corrosion, sharp welds, incorrect diameter, poor vertical alignment, and wrong venturi fit.

Replacement projects should check cages and filter bags together.
